Thousands of cycles ago the inhabitants of Amberon faced almost certain death due to
environmental problems and started looking for a new home.  They discovered new planets,
races, and began trading to help everyone, laying down a centralized governmental
foundation.  Soon, travel between planets became easier and races started to intermingle,
becoming known as the Taleck.  The Talecks are human-like though they vary in size, color
Peaceful explorers, they continued traveling the universe looking for trade.  Unwittingly, they
exposed themselves to the Kalhar, a race known to attack and annihilate any race they find.
Close to three meters in height, their red complexion, lean bodies and soulless  eyes terrify
all at first glance.  Unknown to the Taleck, the Kalhar have prepared to attack the system
for cycles, and now they have made their move.  With no mercy, they have killed millions of
Talecks.

They attacked
Mosez first, giving them a strong base to support additional troops as they
moved forward.  The second battle was on
Syrene where the Kalhar attacked without
mercy before quickly moving on to
Xeron, effectively cut off most of the systems trading
and supplies routes. No one knows where they will go next, and nothing the Taleck have
thrown at them has succeeded in stopping them.

They do have one hope, though most have forgotten it.  Impressed by the Talecks morality
and compassion, a powerful goddess made a pact to protect them long ago.  While she
cannot interfere personally, she can grant three women "gifts" to defeat their enemies.
While the gifts vary depending on the threat, one thing has always stayed the same.  If the
"gifts" are used correctly,  the Taleck will be saved.
