| Carmic. The Carmic need toxicity to survive and cannot survive on any of the other planets in the system. Attempts were made to breed with Talecks, but most of the children died either from the toxicity or from lack of it. So the Carmic decided not to join the government. They still trade with the rest of the system, and provide assistance whenever possible, but keep themselves separate. Due to the elliptical orbit, Talecks can only visit half the cycle. When the planet is closer to the sun, even the most advanced equipment and shields can't protect the Taleck from the increased toxicity and heat. During the rest of the cycle trips to the planet surface are short. Suits and shields are needed for even the briefest of visits. |
